These terms govern your use of orus.uk and any purchases made through it. By using the site or buying from us, you accept these terms. They sit alongside our privacy policy.
1. About these terms
We have written these in plain English. Where the law has a specific definition, the law wins. Where it does not, the plain reading wins.
2. Who we are
ÖRUS is a curated wellness marketplace operated by Eight Hours Ltd, registered in England and Wales. Orders are fulfilled by ÖRUS or by our partner brands shipping under the ÖRUS storefront.
3. Account terms
- You must be 18 or older to create an account.
- You are responsible for keeping your account credentials secure.
- One account per person.
- We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, abuse our staff, or attempt to defraud the loyalty programme.
4. Products and pricing
- All prices are shown in GBP unless explicitly stated otherwise.
- Prices include UK VAT where applicable.
- We reserve the right to change prices.
- Product descriptions are accurate to the best of our knowledge. If we discover a material error we will let you know before dispatching the order.
- Products on ÖRUS are wellness tools, not medical devices. Nothing on the site constitutes medical advice.
5. Orders and payment
- Payment is processed via Shopify Payments.
- Orders are confirmed via email once payment is captured.
- We reserve the right to cancel orders for fraud, payment failure, or stock issues. Refunds in those cases are issued to the original payment method.
6. Shipping and delivery
- Free UK delivery on orders over £50.
- Standard UK delivery: 3–5 working days.
- International delivery times vary by region.
- Risk of loss passes to you on delivery.
7. Returns and refunds
- 30-day return policy for unused, unopened items. Email hello@orus.uk to start a return.
- Refunds are processed within 14 days of receiving the return, to the original payment method.
- Hygiene products (toothbrushes, tongue scrapers, anything that touches the inside of the body) are non-returnable once opened.
- Your statutory rights under the UK Consumer Rights Act are unaffected.
8. ÖRUS Credits and loyalty programme
- Credits are non-transferable and have no cash value.
- Credits expire after 12 months of account inactivity. Activity means signing in, placing an order, or earning new credits.
- Credits cannot be combined with other promotions unless we explicitly say otherwise.
- We may modify the programme (rates, perks, tiers) with notice on this page. Existing balances are honoured at the rate they were earned.
9. Referral programme
- Referral rewards are subject to the friend placing a qualifying first order (minimum £30).
- Self-referral is not permitted.
- We reserve the right to void rewards we believe are the result of fraud, brigading, or coordinated abuse.
10. AI Advisor
- The advisor provides product recommendations, not medical advice.
- Recommendations are limited to the products we stock — this is intentional, but worth being aware of.
- Always consult a qualified healthcare professional for medical decisions.
- We are not liable for outcomes from following advisor recommendations.
11. Reviews
- Reviews must be genuine and based on personal experience.
- We moderate reviews for spam and abuse but do not edit content.
- Reviews earn ÖRUS credit (£3 first review, +£5 with a photo). The fact that reviews are incentivised is disclosed on every product page.
- You can request removal of your review at any time.
12. Intellectual property
All site content, design, and branding belong to Eight Hours Ltd or our licensors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or adapt them without permission.
13. Limitation of liability
Nothing in these terms limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be limited under English law. Subject to that:
- Our total liability for any claim related to your use of the site or any single order is capped at the price you paid for that order.
- We are not liable for losses caused by partner brands beyond what your statutory rights require.
14. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the English courts.
