Classes belong to a club
A class on ORUS is run by a club: a gym, a studio, a run club, a coach with a following. Start one at admin.orus.uk/new; it is pending until ORUS approves it, and you can build your timetable meanwhile. The console is where classes live: a class has a category, a venue or a joining link, a duration, a price or no price, and sessions on a calendar.
Bookings, waitlists, check-in
A member books a session from the class page or the app. Capacity is counted atomically, a full session takes a waitlist, and a cancellation inside your cutoff promotes the next person. On the day, you check people in from the calendar or by scanning their QR code.
Venues on the map
Add your venues once, with a postcode for the pin; every class placed on one shows the map, the address and directions on its page, and appears in the classes directory near the people looking.
The fee
A free or pay-at-the-venue class costs nothing. A class paid online takes 5% from you and adds a 5% service fee for the member at checkout, so a £20 class charges £21, you receive £19, and ORUS keeps £2. Your club connects a Stripe account once for payouts.
Questions at this step
Can a personal trainer run classes without a club?
Start a club under your own name; it is the same console. One-to-one appointments live there too, with slots from your working hours.
What about membership plans?
A club can sell its own plans; the club keeps the whole plan price and the member pays a 5% service fee on top.
